When John Carswell first opened Apex Everett at 1611 Everett Avenue in downtown Everett, Washington in August of 2022, they held an event where graffiti artists from around the country came in and did live painting demos on canvas. They also created a mural on the elevator shaft outside of the building that celebrated artists and their artwork. Three years later it’s August of 2025 and another group of artists has transformed that mural into a memorial that honors graffiti artists who are no longer with us. Names of those artists are displayed in a ribbon wrapping the tower. Each name is done in that artist’s own style. There is also room on the tower for future memorials and evolution of the mural. Here are some Seen in Everett photos of the artwork that took place over the past week. Click photo to expand.
