With a lead of more than five percentage points and a relatively light voter turnout, it looks like Cassie Franklin has won re-election as Mayor of Everett, Washington. The first numbers show Franklin with 6970 votes or 52.45% to Murphy with 6259 votes or 47.10%. The next vote totals are expected to be released Wednesday afternoon at 5:00PM. Below are the initial results of the other contested races in Everett.

Everett City Council District 2: Paula Rhyne 1674 votes (59.57%) Ryan Crowther 1128 votes (40.14%)
Everett City Council District 3: Don Schwab 2600 votes (80.45%) Marcus Nunez 625 votes (19.34%)
Everett City Council District 4: Luis M. Burbano 694 votes (50.95%) Alan Rubio 665 votes (48.83%)
Everett City Council District 5 Incumbent Ben Zarlingo was unopposed
