The City of Everett Council of Neighborhoods is sponsoring a Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 9, 6:30-9:00pm, (doors open at 6pm, Forum starts promptly at 6:30), in the Weyerhaeuser Room, 4th floor at Everett Transit Station, 3201 Smith Avenue, Everett.
Moderated by the League of Women Voters of Snohomish County, this event will give Everett residents an opportunity to meet candidates for Everett Mayor, Everett City Council, and Everett School Board and hear their priorities and vision for the future.
On-site questions will be solicited in writing and vetted by the moderators. In addition, there will be a short meet-and-greet after the forum where attendees can ask questions of the candidates, face-to-face.
The Everett Council of Neighborhoods was created by an Everett City ordinance in 1990 and is made up of volunteer representatives from all active neighborhoods. Each neighborhood association elects or selects its representatives: two regular representatives and one alternate representative. Contact your neighborhood leader to get involved.
