Officials in Everett, Washington are watching the Snohomish River as concerns grow over the possibility of flooding. East of Everett there have already been issues and rescues and there are evacuations further up the river between Snohomish and Monroe. Here’s a link to a document from the City of Everett on flood preparations and the City has also stocked two spots with material for people who want to fill sandbags. One is in north Everett and the other in south Everett. There is plenty of clean sand but you must bring your own bags and shovel.

A reminder, Don’t call 911 unless it is an life threatening emergency. To report water, sewer, or other storm related problems, call the City of Everett’s 24-hour dispatch at 425-257-8821.
