UPDATE From Everett Fire 2:26 PM: All fire apparatus have cleared. This was a sprinkler-controlled fire in a bedroom of an apartment unit, which was fully extinguished by firefighters. One person was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Three adults were displaced from the affected unit. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Investigators are on site of a fire at an apartment complex in the 3100 block of Oakes Avenue in downtown Everett, Washington. The fire was reported around 1:00PM Wednesday afternoon. At this writing Everett Fire reports the blaze was quickly extinguished and one person was receiving medical evaluation. No word on their condition at this time.
