Crews with the City of Everett, Washington are working hard to prepare the city for the annual 4th of July festivities this Friday. Hedges were being trimmed at Grand Avenue Park, lawn trimmed at Legion Park, No parking signs were going up at several spots around the city to warn people at viewing sites for the parade, festival and fireworks. Click here to visit the official City of Everett 4th of July Festival webpage with more specific information about the day’s events. The 4th of July Parade starts at 11 AM and runs south on Colby from Everett High School, east on Wall street and then back north on Wetmore. The Fourth of July Festival starts at 3PM at Legion Park with events for the whole family, food trucks, and new this year, a bubble party featuring lots of foam from 4 – 6PM (you may want to bring a change of dry clothes for the kiddos) There’s an adult beer garden and live music starts at 5:00 PM and runs until the Fireworks Show which is scheduled to begin shortly after 10 PM. Pro tip if you’re coming to Legion Park park your car at Everett Community College and take the free shuttle. (Everett Transit has got it down to a science and things move quickly.)
