Beginning July 22, the City of Everett’s annual Street Tunes program returns with colorful, artist-painted pianos placed throughout downtown and other community locations. Everyone is invited to stop by, play a tune or enjoy an impromptu performance. The pianos will be available during daylight hours through Aug. 19.
Whether you’re a seasoned pianist, just learning a few notes or simply stopping to listen, Street Tunes welcomes people of all ages and skill levels to create unexpected moments of music throughout the city.
“Street Tunes is one of those uniquely Everett experiences that brings together art, music and community,” said Mayor Cassie Franklin. “These pianos invite people to slow down, connect with one another and add a little joy to someone’s day. We hope you’ll explore Everett, discover each piano and maybe even play a song!”
Each piano has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of public art by a local artist before being placed at locations throughout the community. Thanks to local businesses and community partners serving as piano hosts, the instruments are available for everyone to enjoy during the four-week program.
This year’s Street Tunes program is dedicated to the memory of former Everett City Councilmember Paul Roberts, whose passion for the arts and community helped shape Everett. A new piano painted by The Dance School will debut in his honor later this month.
Piano locations
Street Tunes transforms everyday spaces into places where music, art and community come together, encouraging residents and visitors alike to discover Everett one piano at a time. Pianos are being hosted by partners at locations across the city:

- “Music Leopard Lounge” by Janet Wold at City of Everett Municipal Building, 2930 Wetmore Ave.
- “Find Your Voice” by Nicoli Q. Dommin at Everett Public Library Main Branch, 2000 Hewitt Ave.
- “Play Me a Tune in the Rolling Hills” by Krista Jefferson at Everett Public Library Evergreen Branch, 9512 Evergreen Way
- “Moonlight Garden Jam” by Holly Stafford at Grand Leader Mercantile, 2210 Hewitt Ave.
- “Tickle My Keys” by Jackie Cort at Imagine Children’s Museum, 1502 Wall St.
- “Street Concerto No. 1” by Vincent Keele, at Sno-Isle Food Coop, 2804 Grand Ave.

New pianos debuting for 2026
Three additional Street Tunes pianos will join the program later this month.
The Dance School is painting two pianos. One will be installed at The Dance School, 2821 Rockefeller Ave., while the second will be hosted by Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Ave.
The Village at Casino Road, 14 E. Casino Rd., is also painting a piano that will be installed at its location.
