A large home in the 7400 block of Olympic Drive in Everett, Washington was the scene of a two-alarm fire late Wednesday night. Here’s what we know so far from the Everett Fire Department. Click on photo above to enlarge.
Just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, Everett Fire responded to a house fire in the 7300 block of Olympic Drive.
Firefighters arrived to find a two-story home on fire. The response was upgraded to a second alarm.
Crews initially worked offensively, going inside the home to put out the fire. After hearing several explosions inside, firefighters switched to a defensive approach, moving outside and continuing to fight the fire from there. The cause of the explosions are unknown at this time.
Mutual aid units have cleared. Crews are addressing any hotspots and are in overhaul.
No injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
