Sam Dahl had always dreamed of opening his own cafe. For well over a year and a half now he’s been trying to open Kel’s at 1909 Hewitt Avenue in downtown Everett, Washington right across from Angel of the Winds Arena. Communication challenges, a backlog at the County Health Department and more made it a tough road but today Sam and his mom finally got to cut the ribbon and have a grand opening. Next month will be a loud happy party as the cafe upstairs and bar downstairs reach their full potential. For now you can stop in Monday – Saturday from 8 AM – 2 PM for coffee, tea and fresh baked goods. Here are some Seen in Everett photos of today’s ribbon cutting.
