Two long-time empty banks in the 8500 block of Evergreen Way in south Everett, Washington that had become magnets for problems, (as well as eyesores), look to be getting new life.
In a project that goes back to 2022, the former Banner Bank at 8519 Evergreen Way is being converted into Euro Food & Deli, a grocery store with bakery and food to go. Construction has been going on for the past few months and appears to be progressing nicely.
The former Bank of America location at 8500 Evergreen Way has been empty for years. Recently fences went up around the property and an application was recently filed with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board to allow sales of beer, wine and spirits at a new business named “El Molino Bakery”. No word on the timeline for when that business may open.
